Q: I forgot to refriderate the yeast after opening does that mean its no good. A: The shelf life of the EZ Caps yeast at room temperature is a couple of years. Refrigeration extends the lifespan of the yeast indefinitely. I have some yeast that is almost 10 years old that has been kept in the fridge...

Re: EZ Caps beer kit...coming soon!

Cool Sign me up for a STOUT!!! The stout is REALLY good. I'm guessing it will be ready to ship in 6-8 weeks. I gave a glass to a neighbor, not telling her it was homemade she couldn't stop talking about how great it was and wanted to know where she could get a 6-pack. Some of the recipes have requi...

Re: EZ Caps beer kit...coming soon!

Our first big shipment of supplies is en route. I've got enough stuff on hand for a limited offering but I'm still waiting on the USPS flat rate boxes. The kits will come in two sizes. Enough for 1 gallon of beer and enough for 3 gallons. There will be a small price break on the 3 gallon size. Our f...

Re: How to make beer with EZ Caps

I tried a coffee filter one time on a 1 gallon batch of wine I made and it didn't work so well. It will quickly clog and after messing with it for 30 minutes, you will get sick of the idea. I haven't come up with a cheap way to filter wine that actually works. The best thing I know to do is to be c...

Re: Non-Sparkling?

Question #7: I want to try a non-sparkling fermented beverage. Can I do this with EZ Caps? Answer: Yes. Follow the beverage making instructions but after two days unscrew the EZ Cap most of the way. The juice will ferment, but the CO2 will escape, and the beverage will not be carbonated. OK but won...

Re: Easy / Awesome dark beer!

Great information! Thanks for the recipe. What type of Munton's DME do you use? I'm assuming dark? Yes. Thanks for pointing out that I didn't specify that, I had to edit the post to make that clear. I guess that's what happens when you post recipes while consuming one. When I made this recipe befor...
