wine coolers are malted beverages - ie: beer! , as its base is an alcoholic malt beverage rather than wine. named that way because they taste more like wine, than beer! you could use a grape concentrate of your choice, ferment to completion, then add your own sweetener (juice/sugar/etc) to taste bef...
here's the mead roughly 78 hr's after fermintation took off. will add strawberries in secondary. it may not look like it's doing much from this small image but i had recently stirred it to sink some foam. it's actually bubbling like mad! http://www.ironpoet.com/images/mead.jpg closeup of fermentatio...

(2 liter batch) 1 can welch's white grape concentrate. 1 can welch's raspberry concentrate. 1/2 cup sugar. 6 oz clover honey. broken hydrometer. but i'm guessing 12-14 % abv final. my vinometer will give a fairly accurate result after stopping fermentation...
a little update: it's still going! barely but still fermenting after 23 days. i put a air lock on it 18 days ago. this batch was brewed without the cap; cloth and rubber band instead for a non-bubbly wine! i've tasted it so many times i only have 3/4 of it left! but it's really tuning out nice so i'...
