wine coolers are malted beverages - ie: beer! , as its base is an alcoholic malt beverage rather than wine. named that way because they taste more like wine, than beer! you could use a grape concentrate of your choice, ferment to completion, then add your own sweetener (juice/sugar/etc) to taste bef...

got two fruit meads (melomel) going now.
one gallon and 2 liter batches.
strawberry mead and clementine mead. these will take a few months and i think they'll turn out great!

one gallon:
3 lbs clover honey
2 lbs frozen (are best!) strawberries
cuvee yeast
spring water
stabilizers.

if you have all your ingredients already in your fermenting vessel, then just pour it in and gently slosh it around for a minute or so to aerate. some like to hydrate, some do not. it's a simple step that usually starts fermentation quicker. i always do it. make sure you don't use liquid hotter than...

started a raspberry/honey wine on 02/20/10. (2 liter batch) 1 can welch's white grape concentrate. 1 can welch's raspberry concentrate. 1/2 cup sugar. 6 oz clover honey. broken hydrometer. but i'm guessing 12-14 % abv final. my vinometer will give a fairly accurate result after stopping fermentation...

a little update: it's still going! barely but still fermenting after 23 days. i put a air lock on it 18 days ago. this batch was brewed without the cap; cloth and rubber band instead for a non-bubbly wine! i've tasted it so many times i only have 3/4 of it left! but it's really tuning out nice so i'...

yeah i'm talking about wine. two cans should be interesting to try. i think it's very economical! gonna put my grape-raspberry in the fridge tomorrow to clarify. 8 pm will be 8 days for that one. my prediction: semi-sweet.
